Young cricketer dies on field in Kolkata

Kolkata: Twenty-one-year-old cricketer Aniket Sharma died of cardiac failure on field during warm up at Tala Park in northern part of the city on Tuesday, medics said.

The all rounder cricketer, who joined the CAB's divisional club - Paikpara Sporting Club last year - was on a regular stretching and warming up before a practice play collapsed on the field. His coach said.  

" When we took him to nearby R G Kar Medical College and Hospital where the medics pronounced him dead."

The medics said the cricketer died of massive cardiac failure. The body was sent for autopsy.

The young cricketer, a resident of Kharagpur in Medinipur district.(UNI)
