Harare: Once a test playing nation Zimbabwe is now observing one of the blackest days in international cricket today. ICC has suspended Zimbabwe cricket board from membership with immediate effect has the organization feels the government has got the sole control over it. 
Zimbabwe cricket fans went into disarray after this announcement. It followed by a few retirements. If the sources are to be true two players have retired out of which one being Pakistan origin Sikandar Raza. The player took to microblogging site Twitter and said: “Certainly not how I wanted to say goodbye to cricket”. More such announcements from players are expected. 
 
Zimbabwe cricket slumped after the great names like Andy Flower, Heath Streak, Hanry Olango, Neil Johnson, Alister Campbell hanged boot. However, the cricketing minnow used to surprise on few occasion. 
 
Zimbabwe defeated SriLanka by 3-2 in ODI series 2 years back
 
Sikandar Raza's stellar all-round display guided Zimbabwe to their first one-day international series win over hosts Sri Lanka with a nervous three-wicket victory in the fifth and final match at Hambantota. Zimbabwe, ranked 11th, had never beaten Sri Lanka before this series.

Zimbabwe Cricket (ZC) recently confirmed Lalchand Rajput as the head coach of the men's national team, after the former India international stepped into the role on an interim basis in June. Rajput had successfully coached India in the first edition of the ICC World T20 in 2007.(WD)
