A wedding celebration in Maharashtra’s Amravati turned into chaos on Monday night when a groom was attacked with a knife on stage during the ceremony. The shocking incident was captured by a drone camera, which not only recorded the assault but also tracked the attacker for nearly two kilometers after he fled the venue.
The incident took place at Sahil Lawn on Badnera Road, where 22-year-old Sujal Ram Samudra was getting married. The attacker, identified as Ragho Jitendra Bakshi, stormed onto the stage and stabbed the groom three times with a knife, injuring his thigh and knee severely.
Drone Camera Becomes Key Witness
The drone, deployed to film wedding festivities, ended up recording the entire assault. Showing remarkable presence of mind, the cameraman redirected the drone to follow the fleeing attacker instead of panicking.
The video shows the accused wearing an orange hoodie, running out of the venue, and escaping on a bike with an accomplice dressed in black. The drone followed the duo for about 2 km, helping police track their location. The footage has been seized and is being treated as crucial evidence in the investigation.
