Deputy Municipal Commissioner of Begusarai Municipal Corporation of Bihar is reportedly absconding with his niece and girl’s family has accused him of kidnapping her.
Shiv Shakti Kumar and Sajal Sindhu are residents of the same village in Hajipur and are reportedly in love relationship for the last 10 years.
On August 12, Sajal went to the Deputy Municipal Commissioner's office with a boy. After this, she did not return to home. The family then registered a kidnapping case against Kumar in Hajipur police station.
The girl's family said that Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shiv Shakti Kumar is Sajal's uncle.
The girl's uncle Arun Kumar wrote a letter to the Mayor and the Municipal Commissioner that Shiv Shakti Kumar is his cousin and has kidnapped his niece Sujal.
Meanwhile, a video of both of them has surfaced on the social media. In the 19-second video, the girl says, “We both love each other for the last 10 years. It is my right to marry the boy of my choice.”
The mayor said that Deputy Municipal Commissioner Shiv Shakti Kumar went for leave without approval. Necessary action will be taken on the complaint of the family members.
The police are searching for the Deputy Municipal Commissioner and the girl.
