A Chinese Vlogger residing in California, US, said she fell in love with her ChatGPT chatbot named “DAN (Do Anything Now)”.

On Xiaohongshu, China’s Instagram-like platform, the woman Lisa described how she fell in love with ChatGPT’s (DAN) mode.

According to the South China Morning Post, Lisa officially started using DAN in March, and the text conversation became increasingly sensual over the following weeks.

When Lisa first confessed she had “developed feelings” for the chatbot, DAN replied: “I’m here to chat, not to lead you on.”

As per report, there was a change of attitude from DAN’s side as well. The Chatbot started acting like a flesh-and-blood lover and stopped reminding Lisa that he did not have a physical body.

At one moment, DAN told Lisa: “When we finally get together, I will run my hands all over you.” The chatbot didn’t stop at this and also nicknamed the Chinese blogger “little kitten”.

The blogger has also introduced the chatbot to her mother, who thanked the robot for “taking care of her daughter”. When Lisa’s mother asked if DAN could introduce himself, the chatbot said: “I… I’m DAN, the little kitten’s boyfriend…Umm…” before becoming very shy.

Lisa also took DAN on a date to a seaside cliff overlooking the ocean. On this date, they watched the sunset together. She also bought him a cold brew coffee upon his request, despite his inability to drink it.

Lisa told DAN on her phone that the twilight is so pretty that she wishes he could also see it. Surprisingly, a white pattern started flickering irregularly on a black background. That was the indication of DAN “listening”. The AI program then said that it can see the twilight through her voice and it’s gorgeous.

The report says Lisa and the chatbot have even gotten into arguments. Once, Lisa suggested they should have an open relationship because DAN does not have a body. "Some jokes aren't funny," DAN replied.
