A deeply emotional video from Madhya Pradesh’s Shivpuri district highlighting the extraordinary bond between humans and animals has gone viral on social media. The video showcases the unwavering loyalty of a pet dog towards his owner, leaving netizens moved.
The emotional clip, shared by the Shivpuri Police, shows dog Moti’s devotion to his owner even after his death and has become a widely discussed topic in the district.
According to reports, 40-year-old Jagdish Prajapati, a resident of Badora village, died by suicide at his home on Monday. When family members discovered the incident, they found Moti sitting beside the body throughout the night, as if guarding his owner.
The following morning, when the body was taken for post-mortem on a tractor-trolley, the dog ran behind the vehicle for nearly four kilometres. Seeing that Moti refused to stop, villagers eventually placed him on the trolley. Even at the post-mortem centre, the dog remained close by before returning to the village with the body.
At the cremation ground, Moti continued to sit near the funeral pyre. Witnesses said the dog neither ate nor drank anything during this time. Despite repeated attempts, people were unable to move him away.
The video has touched hearts across the internet, with users praising the dog’s loyalty and emotional bond with his owner.
The reason behind Jagdish Prajapati’s suicide is yet to be determined. Police have registered a case and are investigating the matter.
