A bodycam video of an Indian woman being interrogated by police at a Target store in the United States has gone viral on social media. The incident reportedly took place on January 15, 2025, though the footage surfaced online recently.

Viral Video Shows Emotional Interrogation

The clip, uploaded by a YouTube channel, shows the woman gasping and sobbing while officers question her. At one point, she reveals that she is Gujarati. When asked about her primary language, she responded "Gujarati" and clarified that it is from India.

When she was asked whether she would need any interpreter, she said she wouldn’t. The woman was also asked whether she had any medical issues, as she was hyperventilating.

Shoplifting Admission

During the interrogation, the woman revealed she held a driver’s license from Washington and was a serial shoplifter at that Target outlet, though this was the first time she had been caught. She admitted that she intended to resell some of the stolen merchandise.

Released With a Warning

While being questioned, the woman received a phone call from an unidentified individual. Soon after, officers informed her that she would be released with a warning. However, they made it clear that she was banned from returning to the store and would face trespassing charges if she did.
