A shocking case of murder has come to light from Gwalior. A man from Morena, despite being married, did a love marriage with his previous girlfriend and started living with her. However, he got frustrated by financial pressures following her spending habits and then he plotted her death to appear as an accident.

On the evening of August 13, the accused husband Ajay informed police that a loading vehicle hit the Activa on which his wife Muskan, 25, and brother-in-law Sanjesh were riding and fled the scene immediately.

Muskan succumbed to her injuries during treatment, while Sanjesh is injured.

Ajay claimed they were returning from a Hanuman temple visit at the time of the incident. Initial investigations, including the postmortem, suggested it was an accident.

However, the police then discovered that an Eco Sports car had hit an electric pole nearby accident scene around the same time. CCTV footage contradicted Ajay's account, revealing that the car was at the scene.

Suspicious over Ajay's statements, the police continued their investigation. The police found that Muskan is Ajay’s second wife.

Ajay and Muskan’s relationship began in 2017 when they met while preparing for the MP PSC exams in Gwalior. Their friendship blossomed into love. During COVID-19, Muskan's father arranged her marriage in 2021 and Ajay also married another woman in 2022.

After divorcing her husband, Muskan returned to Gwalior, rekindling her relationship with Ajay. They had a court marriage in 2023 and began living together in the Saket Nagar Padav area.

During interrogation, Ajay eventually confessed to conspiring Muskan's murder due to frustration over her increasing expenses, including shopping, movies, and weekly outings. Undergoing financial burden of maintaining two households, Ajay sought this fatal solution.

Ajay revealed that he had paid Rs 2.5 lakh to a friend who was struggling with debt to execute the plan, utilizing a second-hand Eco Sports car to stage the incident.
