Husband didn’t install RO, angry wife leaves home; files police complaints against him

Have you ever come across a married couple fighting over RO water? Yes, one such incident has now come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Agra. Even after getting a RO water purifier in dowry, the husband didn’t install it in house. This led to disputes and the wife left the house of her husband after 9 months of marriage. She also filed a dowry harassment complaint with the police. During investigation, the police found out about the actual reason of dispute.

Officials of the counselling centre said that the couple got married in December 2023. The woman’s family had also gifted an RO purifier at the wedding. The RO remained unpacked for seven months.

The wife used the salty water for drinking and bathing. She got a stomach infection and is suffering from hair loss due to the salty water. The wife complained several times but the husband did not pay attention.

After the dispute, the woman came to her parents' house. When woman filed a case against her husband, they were sent to counselling centre. The husband eventually agreed to install the purifier and the woman returned to her husband’s house.
