In a shocking incident, a couple from Mallikarjuna Nagar, Amberpet, has been arrested by Hyderabad Police for allegedly live streaming their sexual acts on a mobile app in exchange for money.
The couple, aged 41 and 37, reportedly wore masks to conceal their identities and used high-definition cameras to record the explicit content.
According to the police, the husband, a cab driver by profession, and his wife admitted to engaging in the explicit acts as a way to earn quick money. They charged Rs 2,000 for a live-streamed session and Rs 500 for recorded clips, which they shared with paying users—mostly youngsters—through a mobile platform.
Acting on a tip-off, the East Zone Task Force raided the couple’s residence on Thursday and seized HD recording equipment used for filming the content.
“The couple earned more through these activities than what the man made from his regular job,” the police said. They reportedly streamed and sold content regularly, wearing masks to avoid identification.
A case has been registered under various sections of the Information Technology Act, and further investigation is ongoing.
