Three Gurugram police officers were suspended after a video showing them allegedly accepting a bribe from Japanese tourists went viral on social media. The incident reportedly occurred when the pillion rider on a scooter was not wearing a helmet. The Japanese tourist was wearing Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses that recorded the entire interaction.

The video, posted by user @deadlykalesh on X and viewed over 327,000 times, shows a woman wearing a helmet driving a scooter while her pillion companion was not. A police officer is heard asking the tourists to pay Rs 1,000 in cash as a "fine" for the violation.

When one of the tourists asked, "Can I use a Visa or touch?" the officer replied, "No Visa touch," and allegedly took two Rs 500 notes without issuing a receipt.

The user captioned the video: "WTH! Gurugram cops took 1000 bribe from a Japanese tourist without even giving a receipt. This is how they ruin India's image abroad."
