In a shocking incident reported from Karnataka, a man killed his wife and then chopped her body into pieces, officials said.
The incident took place in Hospet village in Tumakuru district.
The victim was identified as Pushpa (32). The accused husband, identified as Shivaram, was arrested by the police.
According to the police, Shivaram committed the crime after a heated argument with his wife on Monday night.
He allegedly beheaded Pushpa and dismembered her body in the kitchen.
The accused worked as a helper at a sawmill. The couple have eight-year-old child.
Preliminary investigations have revealed that the couple quarreled frequently.
