Kerala: Firefighters help doctor remove stuck iron washer from man's private part

A 46-year-old man in Kerala’s Kanhangad faced a medical emergency when an iron washer got stuck around his genital area. Despite efforts by doctors, the washer could not be removed, prompting a call for assistance to the Fire and Rescue team.

The patient had been suffering for three days before seeking medical help, resulting in severe swelling that obstructed urination.

Fire and Rescue personnel used a ring cutter to carefully remove the washer in a delicate two-hour operation. The patient was sedated during the procedure, and a five-member Fire and Rescue team worked meticulously to avoid causing harm.

The exact circumstances of how the washer became stuck remain unclear, with the man claiming someone placed it on him while he was intoxicated.
