Kumbhakarna was ‘technocrat’, didn’t sleep but secretly develop machines for 6 months: UP Governor Anandiben Patel (VIDEO)

Uttar Pradesh Governor Anandiben Patel made a startling claim about Kumbhakarna from the Ramayana that he was a "technocrat" and used to secretly work on machines in laboratory for six months on Kumbhakaran’s order under the pretext of sleep.

Patel made the claim during the ninth convocation of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti Language University in Lucknow on Monday. A video of her is also going viral on the social media.

In the clip, she can be heard saying, “It has been put before us that Kumbhakaran used to sleep for six months and stay awake for six months. But, this is not true. Kumbhakaran was a great technocrat. He knew the technology. He used to develop machines secretly so that the technology does not go to other countries.”

She further said, “Ravana had ordered Kumbhakaran to not come out for 6 months. This work has to be done sectetly in the laboratory. After six months, he has to come out. The rumor was spread that Kumbhakaran sleeps for six months and remains awake for six months.
