A video has gone viral on social media showing a man and two women allegedly engaged in a threesome inside a parked car with a BJP flag in front of a restaurant in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki.

The viral video was reportedly made at the famous Kalika Haveli Restaurant on Lucknow-Ayodhya NH 27.

After the video went viral, the Barabanki Police issued a statement saying that a complaint had been received and an investigation was underway and the car owner was identified.

In response to the viral video on X, the Barabanki Police stated, "The above incident is in front of a restaurant located on NH-27, where a large number of people come. According to the registration number of the vehicle, it belongs to the Raebareli district. The investigation of the purpose for which the people sitting in the vehicle had come here and what their activities were has been given to the City Officer Barabanki."

"Appropriate action will be ensured on the basis of facts after investigation," the police added.

Replying to the post of UP Congress, Barabanki police shared a photo of a press note in which it is written that "The vehicle UP 33AL 0011, seen in the video, is registered in the name of Arvind Mishra, resident of Raebareli district. His brother Sudha Shankar Mishra said that about two and a half months ago, their vehicle had an accident near Ratapur Chauraha in Raebareli district."

"Then the car was sent to Kundan Singh’s Gayatri Workshop, near BBD University for repair. Kundan Singh said that the bill was of about Rs 1,60,000, out of which he has paid Rs 70,000 and Rs 90000 is yet to be paid. Hence the car was parked at Kundan Singh's workshop since then."

"On 11 August 2024, Kundan Singh's friend Ashish Pandey, son of Ramji Pandey, resident of village Birmalpur Chandri Bazar of Jaisinghpur police station in Sultanpur district, asked him for a car for some work. On his request, Kundan Singh gave him the said car. Ashish Pandey and Kundan Singh already knew each other. Ashish Pandey is a driver and often comes to Kundan Singh's workshop to get car repaired."

"Ashish Pandey told Kundan Singh that he would be back after having his meal. After that Ashish Pandey reached Kalika Haveli Hotel with his female friend and her sister-in-law and parked the car in the parking lot where the viral video was made."

"Sudha Shankar Mishra said that he had not put the BJP flag on the car. Sudha Shankar Mishra also said that neither he nor his brother Arvind Mishra holds any post in the Bharatiya Janata Party nor do they have any relation with the BJP. This flag must have been put by Ashish Pandey in a wrong manner. In this regard, appropriate legal action is being taken after obtaining a complaint from the owner of the vehicle."
