Meerut Murder Case: AI video of police officer kissing Muskan Rastogi surfaces, case filed

Meerut Police has taken action against an Instagram user for sharing a deepfake video that has been making the rounds online. The AI-generated video appears to show a senior police inspector kissing Muskan Rastogi, a 26-year-old woman accused of killing her husband with the help of her boyfriend.

According to officials, a senior Sub-Inspector of Brahmpuri Police Station in Meerut lodged an FIR against the Instagram ID "priyanshurox_31" under provisions of the Information Technology (IT) Act.

In the complaint, the police alleged that the video was created and circulated with the intention of tarnishing his reputation. The Instagram account, "priyanshurox_31," has a significant following of over 75,000 users and features several other AI-generated videos of Muskan and her boyfriend Sahil.

Meerut SP Ayush Vikram Singh said that the person responsible for creating and distributing the video will be arrested soon.

29-year-old former Merchant Navy officer Saurabh Rajput was brutally murdered by his wife Muskan Rastogi and her lover Sahil Shukla on March 4, 2025. His body was dismembered and sealed inside a drum with cement.
