A disturbing case of harassment and abuse has emerged in Pune, Maharashtra, where a newly married woman has accused her father-in-law, husband, and mother-in-law of subjecting her to mental and physical torture.
According to the FIR, the father-in-law, a retired senior police officer (ACP), has been booked along with his son and wife following serious allegations made by the complainant.
Marriage Just Five Months Ago
The woman stated that she got married around five months ago. Fifteen days after the wedding, she and her husband went to Mahabaleshwar for their honeymoon. However, she alleged that their marriage was never consummated, claiming her husband refused physical intimacy due to impotence.
When she discussed this issue with her in-laws, instead of considering medical treatment or adoption, the woman claims her husband and mother-in-law pressured her to have a child with her father-in-law in order to give the family a grandchild.
Allegations Against the Father-in-Law
The complainant alleged that her father-in-law repeatedly entered her room without consent and demanded sexual relations under the pretext of continuing the family lineage. She also claimed that her husband and mother-in-law supported his actions.
Following her complaint, the police registered an FIR naming all three accused. The case is currently under investigation.
