In a shocking and deeply disturbing incident from Navi Mumbai, a man allegedly forced his wife and mother-in-law to strip under the guise of black magic rituals, claiming it was to remove obstacles in her brother’s marriage.

The accused, Ramesh, is originally from Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, and lives with wife and his mother-in-law in a rented house in Navi Mumbai.

Black Magic Pretext Turns into Abuse

According to police, the incident took place between April and July 2025 at the accused’s residence. On April 15, he manipulated the women into believing that a ritual involving nudity was essential to overcome problems in his brother-in-law’s marriage.

Took Obscene Photos and Leaked Them

While forcing the women to undress and perform the so-called ritual, the accused secretly clicked their obscene photos. He later used these pictures to blackmail his wife, threatening to leak them if she disobeyed him.

The situation took an even darker turn when he called his wife to Ajmer, and once she arrived, he sent the obscene photos to her father and brother via WhatsApp. This led the woman’s family to file a formal police complaint.

Case Registered Under Multiple Acts

Police booked the accused under sections 351(2) (criminal intimidation), 352 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of peace) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and relevant sections of the Information Technology Act, and the Maharashtra Prevention and Eradication of Human Sacrifice and other Inhuman, Evil and Aghori Practices and Black Magic Act, 2013.

Currently, the accused is on the run, and police teams are actively searching for him.
