A shocking incident has surfaced at Maharshi Dayanand University (MDU), Rohtak, Haryana, where female sanitation workers have accused two supervisors of humiliating them by forcing them to undress to “prove” they were on their menstrual cycle.

According to the complaint, the women workers claimed that when they requested a short break due to menstrual pain, the supervisors pressured them to continue working faster. When the workers explained they were unable to do so because of their periods, the supervisors allegedly demanded photo “proof” by asking them to take pictures of their private parts.

The women said that when they protested against the inappropriate demand, they were verbally abused and threatened with termination. Under pressure and fear of losing their jobs, some women were reportedly forced to take such photographs in the restroom.

The victims have filed written complaints with both the Women’s Commission and the Human Rights Commission, seeking strict action against the accused supervisors.

Maharshi Dayanand University’s Director of Public Relations confirmed that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Rajbir Singh, has taken immediate action. Following the investigation order, both sanitary supervisors employed through HKRN have been suspended with immediate effect.
