SHOCKING: Jodhpur hospital staff performs ECG watching YouTube video in absence of lab technician due to Diwali (VIDEO)

In a shocking incident of medical negligence, a staff in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, performed an ECG scan on a patient after a watching YouTube clip due to a absence of lab technician in the hospital.

According to reports, the incident took place on November 1. The patient visited Paota Satellite in Jodhpur with a complaint of stomach ache.

After consulting the doctor in the emergency, the patient was asked to get an ECG done, but due to Diwali holidays, the lab technician was not present in the hospital. In such a situation, a contract employee performed the ECG of the patient.

Two videos of the incident are going viral on the social media.

In one video, a man is seen performing ECG of a patient while watching a video on YouTube.

In another video, the family of the patient is seen objecting to the process saying conducting the scan without proper knowledge could kill him. To which, the staff said that lab technician is on leave due to festival, that’s why he is performing ECG.

The incident has triggered an administrative inquiry against the state-run hospital.
