TV channel airs Kirit Somaiya 'explicit' video; Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole mocks BJP leader

Mumbai: In a veiled attack on former BJP MP Kirit Somaiya, Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee (MPCC) president Nana Patole mockingly said that the one who pointed fingers at others has been stripped of his clothes today.
 
He said that the person who used to speak poorly of people's character has now been stripped of his clothes.
 
Since 2014, blackmailing has been going on in the state by showing the fear of central agencies like Enforcement Directorate, CBI and Income Tax. he noted.
 
Commenting on Somaiya's salacious video that has gone viral, the MPCC chief replied that it will be appropriate to speak more on the matter only after seeing it.
 
But the one who has tarnished others has himself been disrobed today, he said in a jibe.
 
"This issue is not important for the Congress party, but the issues concerning common people are far more important for us," Patole remarked.
 
"It is important for the Congress party to address the issues of inflation, farmers, women's safety, law & order, youth," he added.
 
Meanwhile, Somaiya write a letter to Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis seeking an inquiry into authenticity of a video on him that went viral after a Marathi news channel aired it.
 
In a tweet, the former BJP MP said, “A video clip of me was shown on a news channel. Claimed that I have harrassed many women, and many such video clips are available, complaints received against Me by channel."

"I have never abused any woman. I personally write to Home department requesting them to start investigation of such allegations and bring truth before public," he added. (UNI)
