A video of a news reporter “heckling” a store manager of a Haldiram’s outlet for Urdu description on the packaging of a Falhari mixture is going viral on the social media.

In the viral video, reporter is heard questioning the manager “what Haldiram's was trying to hide by concealing the description of the namkeen packet in Urdu”.

Replying to the question, the manager says that the food inside the packet is healthy, and then she asks the reporter to leave the store. She says, “If you want to have this you can have it, if you don’t want to have it, you can just keep this here and go from my outlet.”

As per the viral video, the description at the back of the namkeen is written in Urdu while the main text on the front is in English. Also, the packaging clearly displays the green vegetarian symbol.

Meanwhile, a debate has started on social media. Some netizens are praising the Haldiram staff for the way she dealt with the reporter, while others are inquisitive to know why the company printed the description of the packet in the Urdu language.

Some netizens also pointed out that the language printed on the Namkeen packet is Arabic not Urdu. As Haldiram exports to muliple Muslim majority, hence the description is also written in Arabic.

While, some users also shared Patanjali Ghee's photo which also has arabic text on the bottle.
