Dehradun: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday visited his ancestral home in Panchur village at Pauri Garhwal district of Uttarakhand after 28-long years and met his mother and other family members for the first time after becoming Chief Minister in 2017.

He could not attend the last rites of his father in April, 2020 due to Covid-induced restrictions.
It was the first time in 28 years that the CM is spending night at his ancestral home.

Earlier in the day, he unveiled the statue of his Guru Mahant Avaidyanath at the Degree College, about three km from his village. Thereafter, he reached his ancestral home at Panchur. (UNI)
