Power attracts women and powerful men don’t mind this. The results are some whopping numbers.

The late communist Cuban dictator Fidel Castro tops the list of all these great womanizers. He was rumored to have slept with some 35,000 women! The New York Post sensationally reported in 2008 that Cuban leader had slept with at least two women a day for more than four decades - one for lunch and one for supper and sometimes he also needed them for breakfast. You can shrug it off, calling it yet another American hyperbolic propaganda, even though these reports were based on a former Castro official Ramon’s interview given to filmmaker Ian Halperin. However, this is unquestionable the Castro had an insatiable libido.

Castro used to view sex as an entitlement. It was difficult for him to understand the why and the how of the Monica Lewinksy–Clinton scandal. It was reported that he found it hard to grasp as how having too many girlfriends could be a political liability. For him being a womanizer was connected to political power. When during an interview with “Vanity Fair” in 1993, journalist Ann Louise Bardach asked Castro how many children he had he smiled and answered "almost a tribe". Many Cubans affectionately call him El Caballo (“the Horse”), a nicknamed for being such a prolific stud.

Fidel was married twice. His first wife Mirta Díaz-Balart gave him a son called Fidel Junior. But he didn’t marry his second wife Dalia Soto del Valle until she gave him five sons. Castro's biographer Robert E. Quirk noted that he was "unable to form a lasting sexual relationship with any female." He had many one night stands which resulted in many children. Even Castro didn’t know how many children he had got, or in the first place, with how many women he slept during the course of his life.

In his book, “The Double Life of Fidel Castro,” the Cuban leader’s bodyguard Juan Reinaldo Sanchez revealed many secrets of his private life and his lavish lifestyle. He also revealed that despite being a fierce womanizer himself, he once lashed onto his daughter Alina Fernandez for wearing a bikini and having a photoshoot for a magazine. He yelled at her saying “Everybody knows you are my daughter! Posing in a bikini like that is unseemly!” To which Alina replied “Oh, so you’re interested in what I’m doing now?”, screaming even louder.

America’s infamous intelligence agency CIA knew about the womanizing aspect of Fidel, so once a former lover of Castro was recruited by it to kill him. The woman was given poison pills by the CIA and she hid them in her cold cream jar. But the pills melted and she felt that putting cold cream in Castro's mouth while he slept won’t be a good thing to do. And thus the mission of Caltro’s killing through one of his former lover was left unfinished.
