BJP leader Nazir attacked while offering Namaz in mosque in Kerala

Idukki:Kerala BJP State Secretary AK Nazir was brutally attacked allegedly by a group of Social Democratic Front of India (SDPI) and Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) activists while offering Namaz at a mosque at Nedungandam in this district on Sunday evening.
Nazir was ''obstructed by the group'' when he entered the mosque. But the Imam allowed him to perform Namaz. But, while he was performing Namaz, he was "beaten up", sources said.
A badly injured Nazir was rushed to a local hospital and then on medical advise moved to Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences in Kochi. The alleged incident occurred at Thookkupalam Jumah Masjid at Nedungandam. Nazir had come to participate in a campaign programme on CAA, near the mosque.(UNI)
