The 16 days Shraddha Paksh, during which people worship their ancestors is co-related to two things, first, the feast of the Brahmins and second avoidance of shopping. The latter concept has two schools of thought. Many believe that shopping should be avoided during Shraddha Paksh, while only a few accept that shopping in Shraddha doesn’t bring bad luck.
