Sales of Major Automobile manufacturing companies surged in November

The Automobile sector saw a boom if the november month is to go by. The top automobile manufaturer company be it a two wheeler or four wheeler have witnessed a surge in the sales in the last month. 

Bajaj Auto  November 2020 total sale rises by 5  pc
 
Mumbai:Auto  major Bajaj Auto has  reported a  rise of 5 per cent  in its total sales for the month of November 2020 at  422,240 units  as against 403,223 units in November 2019.
 
The company clocked exports sales of 2,23,307 units during November 2020, 14 pc  higher than 195,448 units in November 2019. The domestic sales dropped 4 pc to 198,933 in November 2020 as against 207,775 units in November 2019.
 
The company has sold 384,993 units of motorcycles during November 2020, as compared to 343,446 in November 2019, an increase of 12 pc.
 
Exports of motorcycles was 18 pc  higher at 196,797 in November 2020, as against 167,109 in November 2019. Whereas, the domestic sales of motorcycles increased 7 pc  to 188,196 units in November 2020 as compared to 176,337 units in November 2019.
 
Commercial vehicles sales dropped 38 pc  to 37,247 units in November 2020, as compared to 59,777 in November 2019. 
 
Exports of Commercial Vehicles was at 26,510 units in November 2020, as against 28,339 in November 2019. Domestic sales of Commercial Vehicles dropped 66 pc in November 2020 to 10737 units as compared to 31,438 units in November 2019.
 
Maruti Suzuki  November 2020 total sales marginally up by 1.7 pc
Mumbai:Car major, Maruti Suzuki India reported a Marginal  rise  of 1.7 PC in its total sales for the  month of November 2020 at 153,223 units as compared with 150,630 sold in  November 2019.
 
Total sales include domestic sales of 138,956 units and 5,263 units for other OEMs. In addition, the Company exported 9,004 units in November 2020.
 
Domestic sales increased marginally to 1,44,219 units last month as against 1,43,686 units in November 2019, it added.Sales of mini cars, comprising Alto and S-Presso, declined by 15.1 per cent to 22,339 units as compared to 26,306 in the same month last year.
 
Similarly, sales of compact segment, including models such as Swift, Celerio, Ignis, Baleno and Dzire, declined by 1.8 per cent to 76,630 units as against 78,013 cars in November last year.
 
Sales of mid-sized sedan Ciaz, however, increased by 29.1 per cent to 1,870 units as compared with 1,448 in November 2019.Similarly, utility vehicle sales, including Vitara Brezza, S-Cross and Ertiga, rose 2.4 per cent to 23,753 units compared to 23,204 in the year-ago month, MSI said.
 
Exports in November were up 29.7 per cent at 9,004 units as against 6,944 units in the corresponding month last year, the company said.

MG Motor India November 2020 sales rises by 28.5 pc
 
Mumbai:Auto major MG Motor India has reported a rise of 28.5 pc in its retail sales for the month November 2020  at 4163 units as against 3239 units sold in November 2019.
 
MG Hector, India's first internet car, recorded retail sales of 3,426 units in November 2020, registering its second-highest monthly sales since launch. Reflecting a sales growth of 6 pc  vis-a-vis the year-ago period, the Hector continued its strong momentum receiving over 4,000 fresh orders during the month.
 
The all-new Gloster, India's first Autonomous Level 1 Premium SUV, registered sales of 627 units in its first month. It has received a good response with over 2,500 bookings so far. Sales of the pure electric vehicle MG ZS EV stood at 110 units in November 2020.
 
Commenting on the sales performance, Rakesh Sidana, Director ? Sales, MG Motor India, said, "Buoyed by continued festival demand and the sustained demand for the Hector and ZS EV alongside the successful launch of the MG Gloster, we have recorded 28.5% growth in November 2020 vis-?-vis the last year. We expect the momentum to continue in December and expect to close this year on a strong note."
 
The MG Hector continues to outperform with 25+ advanced safety features as standard and an array of first-in-class features, along with the promise of lowest maintenance costs in its segment.  The carmaker has also recently expanded the sales of the ZS EV to 25 cities to cater to the growing anticipation of the hi-tech internet electric car.
 
Toyota Kirloskar Motor sees positive momentum in sales in Nov
Bengaluru:Auto major Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) has registered a 2.4 percent growth in the month of November 2020 by selling 8508 units as compared to 8312 units it had sold in November 2019  in the domestic market.
 
Commenting on the performance, TKM Sr Vice President (Sales and Service) Naveen Soni said, "The company has been witnessing a gradual yet steady recovery owing to factors such as pent up & festive season demand as well as consolidation of the market at the lower end due to increasing preference for personal mobility amongst customers. An array of attractive offers and finance schemes have also helped us maintain our momentum, thereby helping us achieve a growth over wholesales when compared to the corresponding period last year. 
 
In terms of festive season demand & sales, TKM has fared well registering a 10-13 per cent increase in customer orders & 12 per cent increase in retail sales (sales from dealer to customer) when compared to the festive period in 2019. However, owing to the illegal strike called upon by the members of TKM union, TKM was forced to declare a lockout at the factory which has impacted production & wholesale numbers (sales from TKM to dealer). However, we have been able to fulfill the market demand with the stock available with us, both at the factory as well as at the dealer's end, and we are trying our best to ensure that 'Customer Orders' are prioritized by channelizing the available resources.
 
Moreover, we also introduced the new Innova Crysta last month and the new model has received a tremendous response from our customers. Its predecessor, the 1st generation Innova Crysta has sold close to 300,000 units since its launch in 2016 in India," he added.
 
Hyundai records highest ever domestic sales in November
Chennai:Hyundai Motor India Limited recorded the highest ever November month Domestic sales of 48,800 units and exports of 10,400 units with cumulative sales of 59,200 units for November 2020.
 
Mr Tarun Garg, Director (Sales, Marketing and Service), HMIL said, "Building on the strong sales momentum that was driven by festive demand this year, the company continues to build high customer excitement through a line-up of technologically advanced and futuristic products 
such as the all-new i20, CRETA, VERNA, VENUE, AURA and GRAND i10 NIOS.''
 
He said the recently introduced all-new i20 has helped carry forward the festive momentum even in the post Diwali period and facilitated a sales growth of 9.4 per cent in November 2020 over same period last year,according to a company release here today. 
 
TVS Motor Company sales in November 2020 grows by 21 pc
 
Kolkata: TVS Motor Company sales grew by 21 per cent, registering 322,709 units in November 2020 as against 266,582 units in the month of November 2019.  
 
Total two-wheelers sales grew by 25 per cent recording 311,519 units in November 2020 as against 249,350 units in November 2019. Domestic two-wheeler sales posted a growth of 30 per cent registering 247,789 units in November 2020 as against 191,222 units in November 2019. 
 
Motorcycle grew by 26 per cent recording 133,531 units in November 2020 as against 105,963 units in November 2019. Scooter sales of the Company grew by 26 per cent registering 106,196 units in November 2020 as against 84,169 units in November 2019. 
 
The Company's total exports registered 74,074 units in the month of November 2020 as against 74,060 units in November 2019. Two-wheeler exports registered a growth of 10 per cent with 63,730 units in November 2020 as against 58,128 units in November 2019.  
 
The exports were adversely affected due to the unavailability of containers and impact on operations of Chennai port on account of Cyclone Nivar in the last week of November 2020.Three-wheeler of the Company registered sales of 11,190 units in November 2020 as against 17,232 units in November 2019. 
 
Led by festive demand, Honda 2Wheelers India domestic sales up by double digit 11 pc in Nov'20
 
Kolkata:Boosted by festival buying and positivity in market, Honda closed November 2020 with positive YoY growth momentum for the 4th month on month.With increased retail off-take during festival season, Honda's domestic sales grew 11 per cent to 412,641 units in November'20 compared to 373,283 units a year ago. 
 
With exports of 20,565 units, Honda's total sales in November closed at 433,206 units, which is, 9 per cent up over 396,399 units in Nov'19.
 
Elaborating on the mood of the market, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, Director ? Sales & Marketing, Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India Pvt. Ltd, said, "If the second quarter was about stabilizing the automotive ecosystem, the third quarter is a bit about recovery. Backed by festive sentiments, Honda's retails crossed the 1 million units mark yet again in the two crucial festival months (October & November).
