Mumbai: Sara Ali Khan is undoubtedly the smartest newcomer in tinsel town and with repeated interviews, and her witty answers she certainly proves that Intelligence is the way to go! She is a delight to hear and over and again the actress has stressed upon her upbringing and her education in contributing highly to the confident individual she turned out to be!
Sara Ali Khan, who did her undergrad at Columbia University shared her views on how education has been strong support for her individuality and contrary to popular beliefs, it just strengthened her dreams of becoming an actor. She shares,“I think that I knew from the very beginning before I knew almost anything that I wanted to be an actor. I have spoken about how I have made these ads at home on washing powder Nirma, Moov legau aur pain hatao and all of these things and I used to dance and have these kinds of showcases for my parents friends where I would be like let me show you what I have learned and just do these Bollywood dance numbers for them. I was also interested in classical dancing and I kind of always knew this that I wanted to become an actor but I was also very academically inclined and I don't think that it really made my desire to become an actor waver because I have grown up in a household where both my parents have always spoken about the importance of education, importance of a balanced life and the importance of experience and exposure in general.”

She further adds, “So, I don't think going to Columbia had anything to do with me not wanting to be an actor. If anything, I think I went there and I learned how to be a little more independent, I gained life experiences and International exposure. I studied every subject and I studied history and political science as major subjects and I thoroughly enjoyed it but I also studied parts of economics, chemistry, and maths and having done all of this in the mecca of education I realized that nothing was more interesting than the rush I felt before I went on to the stage to do theatre which is another thing that I studied at Columbia. So I think if anything, going to Columbia made me realize how badly I wanted to be an actor.”

Having said that, she is widely recognized for being one of the few actors who have completed their higher studies first and then joined Bollywood. She fairly stands distinct in a pool of actresses, owing to her spontaneity, her intelligence and her knowledge of a number of things. Sara is surely one of the few who believe in making the best of the opportunities they have had the privilege of getting and doing justice to their name merely by working hard and keeping their heads down. Sara’s humility and confidence speak volumes!

The actress debuted with ‘Kedarnath’ and made waves with her very first film and with Simmba, Sara Ali Khan is being hailed as the ‘Buzz Girl’ of the industry. Killing it her smartness, her stunning looks, and her screen presence, she is also being recognized and applauded for her demeanor and her way of speaking, which sets her miles apart from her contemporaries.

With hardly any time to spare, the actress has been shuffling between shoots and line-ups and is all set to enthrall us with yet another blockbuster.

Starting off her career with two movies and now having 11 brand endorsements in her kitty, the actress time and again proves that she is the girl of the moment and sure has a massive appeal amongst the audience.
