Amid Saiyaara success, Ajay Devgn's 'Son of Sardar 2' release date postponed

Mumbai: Bollywood heavyweight Ajay Devgn is all set to return to the silver screen with the sequel "Son of Sardar 2", now slated for a global theatrical release on August 1.

The film is the sequel to the superhit movie 'Son of Sardar' which released in 2012. The film was earlier scheduled to release on July 25, but will now hit the theatres a week late, as officially announced by the makers.

The makers shared the news with a post on the official Instagram handle. "The Laughter Riot Just Got A New Date. 'Son of Sardaar 2' will now release in cinemas on 1st August 2025 worldwide," said the caption from the production house Jio Studios.

Helmed by acclaimed director Vijay Kumar Arora, the film brings together a vibrant ensemble cast featuring Mrunal Thakur, Chunky Pandey, Ravi Kishan, Vindu Dara Singh and Sanjay Mishra alongside Devgn.
