Mumbai: The much-anticipated song 'Bijuria' from the upcoming film 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' has finally been released, and it’s already creating waves across the music and film industry.
Singer Sonu Nigam’s popular 1990s track 'Bijuria' has been reimagined for 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari', starring Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor, the music video for which was dropped by the makers today.
The new version has been composed and produced by Tanishk Bagchi with additional vocals by Asees Kaur. The original, composed by Ravi Pawar with lyrics by Nigam and Ajay Jhingran, has been updated with modern beats.
Featuring Varun Dhawan and the soulful voice of legendary playback singer Sonu Nigam, the track is stirring up nostalgia for fans of both classic Bollywood melodies and modern soundtracks.
Sonu Nigam, who has been a prominent figure in the music industry for decades, brings his unique style to the song, and his voice resonates with the perfect blend of nostalgia and contemporary charm.
"Bijuria is one of those songs that has lived many lives,” Nigam said in a statement. “Revisiting it now decades later feels like a full-circle moment. Tanishk has infused it with an electrifying new sound, and Asees has added her own flavour that elevates the track. Varun and Janhvi have made the track special with their amazing dance moves”.
Actor Varun Dhawan expressed his nostalgic thoughts upon being a part of the song and added, "There's a connection and a vibe we've all grown up listening and dancing to, but this version has a fresh, crazy energy that matches the madness of our film and makes you want to get up and dance."
Tanishk Bagchi, who took over the composing duties, described it as a "huge responsibility," stating that he wanted to keep the essence of the original song. "It's both a tribute and a celebration, and hopefully something that bridges generations," he shared.

Directed by Shashank Khaitan, 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari' features Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the lead roles alongside stars like Rohit Saraf, Sanya Malhotra, and Maniesh Paul.
The film will hit theatres worldwide on October 2, 2025.
