Comedy overshadows patriotism and politics at box-office

Mumbai: A triangular contest between Mubarakan, Indu Sarkar and Raag Desh now looks likely to be one sided. The multi starrer Anees Bazme movie collected a sum of 5.25 crore on the opening day. The movie has registered the second lowest opening , in terms of Arjun Kapoor’s movie.

The morning show of the movie was quite disappointing. It was expected that the movie will receive some audience in the evening and Night shows, but that didn’t happen as well. A meagre collection of 5 crore is nothing but a jolt to the producer and distributor. The condition of Indu Sarkar and Raag Desh is even worse. Indu Sarkar has managed to earn only a crore while Raag Desh has get less than one crore mark despite accolades from critics. (WD)
