DD earning 650% more profit, Thanks to Ramayana and Mahabharata

Mumbai:TV channels, video games, OTT platforms etc have come up with new ideas in the entertainment industry to bust the boredom during the nationwide lockdown. Yet for our Indians, Mythological episodes of Ramayana and Mahabharata remain the first choice to watch on the small screen.
Both the Hindu mythological series are getting thumping viewership with the same love and affection it used to get in the early nineties. The ratings are making new records every day. 
 
The first four episodes of both the series have been watched by over 1 million people, according to BARC. 1 episode which was aired on Sunday was watched by over 6 million people. This is the first time in the history of Indian television when serials received mammoth ratings like this.
