Delhi Court reserves order on plea to stay 'Chhapaak's release

New Delhi: A Delhi Court on Thursday reserved order on a plea seeking stay on Deepika Padukone-starrer 'Chhapaak'.
Petitioner Aparna Bhatt claimed that she was lawyer for acid attack victim Laxmi for many years but she has not been given any credit in the movie.Bhatt does not want any money but the credit as promised by the film director, her lawyer said. Civil Judge Pankaj Sharma after hearing the submission reserved order in the case.
The verdict will be announced later in the day.
 
In 2005, at the age of 15, Laxmi was allegedly attacked by a spurned lover and film is based on her life.The victim had to undergo several surgeries after the incident. Later, she took up the job of helping other acid attack survivors and promoted campaigns to stop such gruesome attacks.Directed by Meghna Gulzar, the film is set to hit theatres on Friday. (UNI)
