Film editor Jahnavi Dhanrajgir to make her acting debut in Bolo Hau (Photos)

Filmmaker Tarun Dhanrajgir’s daughter Jahnavi Dhanrajgir, an assistant editor (Gunday and Kick) and assistant director (Sultan), is all set to make her acting debut with romantic drama Bolo Hau. Recently she shared her experience of shooting film in an interview.

1) Tell us about your character in the movie

I play the role of Rukhsar, a young, vivacious girl born into a conservative Nawab family who falls in love with Salman. She has a mind of her own and isn’t afraid to hold her ground, she stands for what she believes in. 

2) Where was the film shot?

The film was shot entirely in Hyderabad, mostly in the old city, we also shot in Kohir.

3) You have experience of both behind the cameras and in front. How different was it?

The areas of focus when one is performing is different from when you’re off screen - though I find both sides equally artistically challenging and fulfilling. 

4) How was it working with Ankit Rathi?

I had a great time working with Ankit. I think he’s very passionate and confident. We had a great time filming Bolo Hau. I hope people like our chemistry as Salman and Rukhsar.

5) Share your favourite BTS moments from the movie

We’d start shoot very early in the morning, we’d play music, often the Bolo Hau tracks and everyone would dance to it. It was a wonderful, energising way to start the day with the team.

6) What kind of roles you want to do after this?

As a performer the goal is to play different kind of characters that add meaning to the story, I look forward to see what the future holds.

7) All time favourite actor and actress from Bollywood?

Kajol and Madhuri, Ranveer and Ranbir - they’ve done amazing work and I love watching them on screen.
