John- Akshay lit BO on fire, 'Gold' little ahead of 'SJ'

Mumbai: Once on-screen buddies, Akshay Kumar and John Abraham went for a clash this Independence Day. The movies in this month have failed to gather audience this month. Fanne Khan, Karwaan, Mulk, Vishwaroopam 2 all were rejected by the cine-goers. 

The clash of hunk actors has given reason to smile for single screen and multiplex owners. In the opening day, Akshay Kumar starrer Gold earned a handsome amount of 25.25 crore. While John Abraham starrer Satyamev Jayate also went past 20 crores, the movie earned 20.52 crore. The battle is going to be interesting in the coming days. (WD)
