Mumbai: Sushant Singh Rajput and Sara Ali Khan-starrer ‘Kedarnath’ has earned 17 crore in first two days.
After garnering 7.25 crore on Friday, the film picked up the pace on Saturday and raked up 9.75 crore.
“Kedarnath gathers momentum on Day 2… Growth on Day 2 [vis-à-vis Day 1]: 34.48%… Should witness an upward trend on Day 3 [Sun] as well… Fri 7.25 cr, Sat 9.75 cr. Total: ? 17 cr. India biz,” noted trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted.
Written, directed and co-produced by Abhishek Kapoor, ‘Kedarnath’ tells the story of a Hindu girl who takes a pilgrimage to the historic Kedarnath Temple in the Uttarakhand mountains, where she meets and falls in love with a Muslim boy who becomes her guide.
It also depicts the story of 2013 Uttarakhand floods, which also included the pilgrimage place, Kedarnath.
A much awaited film of the year, ‘Kedarnath’ has evoked mixed reviews from critics.
