Chennai: The condition of legendary playback singer S P Balasubramaniam, popularly called as "SPB", who had tested positive for coronavirus and was admitted to a private hospital, has
deteriorated and was critical.
A bulletin issued by MGM Healthcare, where he was undergoing treatment, said on Friday evening that ''there has been a setback in the health of Mr Balasubramaniam who was admitted to the hospital for symptoms of COVID-19 on August five''.
''In a late night development on August 13, his condition had deteriorated and based on the advice of the expert medical team attending to him, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and he is on life support'', it said.(UNI)
