Mumbai: Acclaimed actor Manoj Bajpayee has urged citizens to extend support to those devastated by the catastrophic floods in Bihar, which have displaced thousands and submerged entire villages.
Taking to his official social media accounts, Bajpayee has stepped forward to bolster relief efforts and also appealed to people to provide immediate assistance to those affected by this disaster.
In his post, Bajpayee highlighted the scale of the devastation, writing about how many families have been rendered homeless and are dependent on relief centres for survival. He shared details of the on-ground efforts of the NGO Aahwan Foundation, stating that it has so far distributed over 50,000 relief kits and set up 53 relief centers in the worst-affected districts. The actor appealed to his fans and the general public to contribute generously, saying that "together we can make a difference."
A native of Belwa village in West Champaran, Bajpayee's appeal resonated with poignant intimacy. "I urge everyone to come forward and help. Bihar needs us the most right now." He also tagged the official donation and support links of the Aahwahan Foundation.
