Mumbai: After playing a secret service officer fighting the terrorists that endanger the country’s security, upcoming Bollywood actress Tapsee Pannu plays a woman who puts up a fight against ‘chauvinism’ in her latest film ‘Pink’.The film is a story of three girls taking on their wrongdoers in a society full of people with a sexist and patriarchal attitude.

Tapsee, whose performance in the film has evoked appreciation from audiences as well as film critics, says that she likes to do roles that have the capacity to trigger emotions in people.
''Playing the role in 'Pink', for me was immensely satisfying.

I want to play characters that evoke emotions in the cinegoing audiences,'' the actress said during her visit to the capital to promote the film, which features her alongside Superstar Amitabh Bachchan, Kirti Kuljari and Angad Bedi.

Tapsee said that her role in ‘Pink’ was the one she identified with.She said in real life too, she feels happy when she sees a woman who does not give up easily."For me, it a matter of achievement and success when a girl doesn't back down,'' she said.The actress said that when a woman categorically says no, it is important to respect it and the notion of consent is not negotiable.
