Mumbai: The stardom of Salman Khan was on peak ever since Tubelight was released. Bit by bit, the Bhai fandom was on a downstream side. Few undesirable incidents have added insult to the injury for Salman Khan during the last 6 months.
Though Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer Dabangg 3 raked up 24.5 crores on an opening day, considering the past opening of Salman Khan films It was below par. Clearly the nationwide CAA protest had taken a toll on the opening of the movie released in the last week of December 19. It reflected in the lifetime collection of the movie which was 20-25 crores short. However, the movie received lukewarm response from the audience but collections would have been better in normal situations.

The present Scenario is even worse for Salman Khan. For 11 years Salman Khan had relished the solo release on the festival of Eid. Now, it looks like the streak will be broken this year as the shooting of Sallu's next "Radhe" has come to a halt due to the havoc created by COVID 19 Pandemic.

After the 21-day long nationwide shutdown, Salman had a little ray of hope to finish the pending shooting and post-production work. But after the introduction of lockdown 2.0 followed by 3.0, it became evident that Radhe will now have to find a new release date after everything is normal. The delay in Release has also increased the budget of the movie every month.(WD)
