Mumbai:While giving her statement to the Bihar Police on Friday, actress Ankita Lokhande alleged that Rhea Chakraborty harassed late Sushant Singh Rajput, sources told.
A probe team from the Bihar Police arrived here after Sushant's father lodged an FIR, naming actress Chakraborty in the case.

On Thursday, the team went to Ms Lokhande's residence and recorded her statement as she and Sushant were in a relationship in the beginning of their careers.

Ms Chakraborty, who has already given her statement to the Mumbai Police, is yet to be quizzed by this probe team. She has also approached the Supreme Court demanding that the case registered against her by the Bihar Police should be transferred to the Mumbai Police.

Meanwhile, daily soap 'Pavitra Rishta' fame Lokhande and the opposition BJP have clamoured for handing over the investigation reins into the hands of CBI.

Commenting on the matter, Assembly Leader of Opposition Devendra Fadnavis asserted, "There is a huge public sentiment about handing over the case to the CBI, but looking at the reluctance of the state government, at least the ED can register an Enforcement Case Information Report since misappropriation and money-laundering angle has come out."

Senior BJP leader Ashish Shelar remarked, "The Mumbai Police is also not taking cognisance of people, who are being named on social media. The police are calling some film directors and summoning the secretaries of other directors for investigation, so even the probe in the Bollywood angle does not appear to be done properly."

"The separate investigations conducted by the Mumbai Police and the Bihar Police are heading in altogether different directions," he added.(UNI)
