Shariful is not a wrestler, man seen in CCTV not my son, claims Father of Saif Ali Khan’s ‘attacker’

The father of Shariful Islam Shehzad - the accused in Saif Ali Khan stabbing case - has claimed that the person seen in the CCTV footage did not resemble his son and he has been wrongfully implicated in the case.

In a recent interview with a news channel, Ruhul Amin said the individual seen in the CCTV footage from the actor's Bandra residence does not match his son's appearance. According to Amin, the man captured in the footage has long hair, whereas his son usually sports short, army-style haircut.

"The person in the footage has very long hair, while his Shariful usually keeps his hair cut short, similar to an Army style," Amin said.

Contrary to media reports stating Shariful to be a wrestler in Bangladesh, his father said he was never involved in the sport. Instead, he claimed that Shariful used to work as a bike rider to support the family.

Shariful, who was arrested on January 18 from Thane, is accused of breaking into Saif Ali Khan's residence in Bandra and stabbing the actor multiple times during an attempted burglary.
