Lucknow:Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor is all set to be discharged from the hospital on Monday as after testing positive several times, she has finally tested negative twice for the Novel Coronavirus.
The seventh report of the singer, which was taken on Sunday, shows that she was now negative for the second time in a row for the virus now. The report was released this morning, health officials here said.Kanika was admitted to the SGPGI here on March 20, and of the six tests earlier done four tested positive.
According to sources, thought the singer would be released from the SGPGI today, but would be required to home quarantine for next 14 days and will go for regular tests.
Earlier Kanika threw tantrums at the SGPGI when she was admitted demanding better facilities but after strictness, she had to comply with the doctors and the treatment routine.
After detection of virus in Kanika, several senior politicians, including UP Health Minister Jai Pratap Singh, went into quarantine for 14 days.All the people who came in contact with Kanika, including her parents and family members, tested negative.
Lucknow police also booked her on charges of negligence for attending various social events in the city despite being infected with coronavirus and having been instructed by the authorities to isolate herself at her home.(UNI)
