Lucknow:Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor tested positive for the novel coronavirus for the fourth time in a row, sources from the hospital said on Monday.
Kanika was admitted to the SGPGI here on March 20, and till date, four tests have been done of the singer, all tested positive.
The singer is being tested after every 48 hours.Doctors attending the singer said that the tests showed that she was still carrying a high load virus.
"Though her health is stable recovery is very slow, " they said.Sources said after the fourth report on Sunday, Kanika too started worrying about her health but doctors attending her consoled and informed her not to worry as she was recovering.
Doctors say that it takes around three to four weeks to treat a Noval Coronsvirus patient and it was just around one and a half week of treatment of Kanika, hence nothing to worry about.
Earlier Kanika threw tantrums at the SGPGI when she was admitted demanding better facilities but after strictness, she had to comply with the doctors and the treatment routine.
After detection of Virus in Kanika, several senior politicians including UP health minister Jai Pratap Singh went to quarantine for 14 days.
However, all the tests of the people, who came in contact with Kanika including her parents and family members were tested negative.(UNI)
