Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming action film “Beast” has been a subject of much hype in India. The trailer has already garnered a great deal of positive reception and more views keep pouring in. But, the hostage thriller will not find a release in Kuwait as it has been banned by the Ministry of Information in Kuwait.

Citing a source, an entertainment portal reported that “Vijay’s character in the film gets into a conflict with an official of Pakistan. The Kuwait Censor Board was not happy with what they felt was the depiction of anti-Pakistan sentiment by the makers. Since the sequence is crucial in the film, there was no way that it could be edited out. Hence, the middle eastern country’s Ministry of Information decided to not allow Beast a release.”

The Nelson Dilipkumar dark-comedy apart from Vijay, also stars Pooja Hegde in the lead with Selvaraghavan, Redin Kingsley, Bjorn Surrao, VTV Ganesh, Aparna Das, and Shine Tom Chacko playing pivotal roles.

The film will hit the big screen on April 13.
