Mumbai: Padmavati is now being released in the name of Padmavat. This is not the first time that a film has to be renamed after the protest .The names of movies have been changed in the past too. Either The name of a movie was edited or extended. Let's take a look at the names of such a few films.

1. Goliyon ki raasleela: Ram-leela

Sanjay Leela Bhansali had to change the name of his film earlier due to protests. The name of this movie was first named Ram-Leela.It seems like the Censor Board is little disappointed with Sanjay Leela Bhansali.The funny thing is that in the film, Ranveer and Deepika were playing the lead role just like Padmavati.

2. R Rajkumar

The film, starring Shahid Kapoor, was first named Rambo Rajkumar.It is known that Rambo is a famous Hollywood film series. Following the protests by the Hollywood movie, Rambo's lead actor and director Sylvester, the film was renamed as R ... Rajkumar.

3. Billu

This movie, starring Irrfan Khan and Shahrukh Khan, was named after Billu Barber. But the people of Barber community said that barber word has been shown inappropriately in the name of the film.After which Shahrukh Khan decided to remove the word barber from the name of the film.

4. Total Siyapaa

In year 2014 this film was to be named as Aman Ki Aasha ,But a large media group had the intellectual property right of this name. After the objection, the name was changed to Total Siapa.

5. Daag: The Fire

In the year 1999 the film was first named as "Daag".But there was a film called Daag which released in the year 1973, in which Rajesh Khanna played the lead role.When the name was objected by the makers of the classic film, the suffix 'The Fire' was added to it. After this case,the filmmakers also got a way to avoid copyright cases.
