Mumbai: Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan starrer Thugs of Hindostan was expected to be the biggest success of 2018 and hence received a bumper opening of Rs. 50.75 crores at box office on the very first day. The negative reviews by the audience and critics lowered the collection. So, the film's collection fell rapidly and not even the 4-day long weekend could help it out.
The first-day collection was a record though, but from the second day the collections of the film came down and it did not even get the benefit of the holidays. The second day, the film collected Rs 28.25 crore. Third day even after being Saturday could earn only Rs. 22.75 crore. The hopes failed miserably after Sunday collection could mark only Rs. 17.25 crore. The film earned a collection of Rs. 119 crore in this 4 day long weekend.

Neither could its Tamil or Telugu versions could do any magic. They made a collection of mere 4 crore rupees since its release. This eventually sums up to Rs. 123 crore collection all over India.
