Mumbai: Bollywood actor Varun Dhawan on Tuesday unveiled his world-first wax figure at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong. Varun is the youngest Bollywood superstar and the fourth Indian figure to join the star lineup in the attraction, trade sources said on Tuesday.Madame Tussauds Hong Kong welcomed the Bollywood star Varun Dhawan, who came from Mumbai to meet his world-first figure. "I am so glad to be here. I would like to say a warm thank you to Madame Tussauds Hong Kong and my fans. I have visited Madame Tussauds when I was six and I can't believe I can be the one to stand next to the figures of various celebrities and world leaders one day," Varun said."I'm so excited to finally see my figure. It is so real," said Varun.
Varun also invited his parents to witness his figure. The family took a series of photos with the extremely lifelike figure.Dressed in a cool pair of his own jeans and shirt, the dynamic figure features Varun Dhawan's trademark dancing move.A team of professional Madame Tussauds sculpting team travelled to Mumbai to work with Varun Dhawan on a detailed sitting. The five-hour sitting process captured every intricate detail includes hair, eyes, teeth, his iconic smile and six pack.To share the moment with his fans, Madame Tussauds Hong Kong also connected people around the world through live broadcast on its official Twitter and Facebook page.
Visitors that will meet Varun for a selfie will also experience the new interactive dancing experience. In partnership with International Indian Film Academy Awards (IIFA), Madame Tussauds Hong Kong unleashed a brand-new dancing experience with Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Stepping onto the dance floor, the visitors will be able to dance with the Bollywood dancers.Speaking on the occasion, Andre Timmins, Director of IIFA said,''it's such an honour to work with Madame Tussauds Hong Kong to introduce the new generation of Bollywood stars to the attraction.
