COVID-19: India reports 7,774 new cases in last 24 hrs, active cases lowest in 560 days

New Delhi: India has reported 7,774 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 34,690,510, the Union Health Ministry said on Sunday.

The Ministry also reported 306 related deaths during the same period, taking the total death toll to 475,434 in the country.

Active cases fell by 996 during the past day to 92,281, marking the lowest active caseload in 560 days, said the Health Ministry.

A total of 34,122,795 people have been cured and discharged from hospitals so far, with 8,464 discharged during the past 24 hours. (UNI)
