Maharashtra logs 3,260 new COVID cases in last 24 hrs

Aurangabad/Mumbai: During the past 24 hours 3,260 fresh positive of Covid-19 case and 3 virus related death were reported across in the state, according to health bulletin on Thursday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 79,45,022 and the death toll goes up to 1,47,892.

Meanwhile,3533 cured patients were discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 77,72,491.

The state's recovery rate significantly came down to 97.83 per cent and fatality rate 1.86 per cent.

So far 8,16,91,771 total samples were tested across the state of them 79,45,022 were tested as positive which is 9.73 percent.

Presently, 24,639 active patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.

Meanwhile ,32 positive patients were reported including 13 in Aurangabad, 8 positive patients in Osmanabad district, 7 patients in Latur and Four in Jalna district while no one patient was reported in the rest of 4 districts of Marathwada region of state ,the bulletin further added. (UNI)
